Gateway: A system connected to a network, which performs any realtime translation or interface function; for example, a system that convers Exchange email to IBM Lotus Notes e-mail.

Goals: Specific milestones that an organization hopes to accomplish.

Guidelines: Similar to standards, but considered recommandations, rather that compulsory requirement.
